Ukraine is a large country in Eastern Europe known for its Orthodox churches, Black Sea coastline and forested mountains. Its capital, Kyiv, features the gold-domed St. Sophia's Cathedral, with 11th-century mosaics and frescoes. Overlooking the Dnieper River is the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery complex, a Christian pilgrimage site housing Scythian tomb relics and catacombs containing mummified Orthodox monks.

Arriving in the Ukraine

On the 28th of July I flew from Frankfurt to Kiev Borispil Airpot. My first visit to the Ukraine has begun.

Borispil Airport is a very easy entry point to the Ukraine. Passport control works like a dream with almost no waiting. Exit through Customs was also an easy operation through the Green Channel.

Airport Pickup.

I booked an Airport pickup from a company I found on line, taking a chance on believing in the information on their page.

Safe Airport Transfer.

These guys are the best. Good prices and reliable. I can recommend them 100%.

Web site: www.kiev.safeairporttransfer.com.

I can 100% recommend this company, their driver was waiting as I came out of customs, het took my bags and drove me to my hotel in an immaculate Audi A6. I also used this company for a four hour tour of Kyiv and also for my return to the airpot for my flight home.

100% reliable, good prices and friendly staff.

Intercontinental Hotel Kyiv

This hotel was my home in Kyiv for the duration of my visit. The level of service is very high, friendly staff and great facilities including a complimentary mini bar (soft drinks) in the room.

I can recommend the Intercontinental Kyiv 100%
