Cascais is a wonderful costal town about 30 kilometres to the northwest of Lisbon, it is a cosmopolitan town in  one of the richest municipalities in Portugal.

It's part of the Portuguese Riviera, just a couple of kilometre's northwest  of Estoril.

There is a local train that brings you directly from Lisbon and for most of us from other European countries it's so cheap it feels like it's a free ride.

I have been visiting this beautiful town for many years. The Local people are wonderful and there is a also a large active expat community.

It earns it own page here as one of my favourite places in the world.
